In June of 2021, I decided to list my home and buy a new build that wouldn't be ready until November or December. The market was hot, and I was willing to find temporary housing or travel until my new home was ready.
I had often checked out various realtors in the area and always came back to one, Emma Yanok. Emma had been a teacher in the district I also taught in, and I had heard much about her. When she had to find a new career, Emma went into real estate because she enjoyed working with people and was eager to learn new skills. I also knew she had taught a course at our community center about buying and how to downsize. My problem exactly!
I originally intended to interview several realtors, however right from the start I felt comfortable with Emma. She stated the facts and what I would need to do in the market to get top dollar. Long story short, I got more than I ever expected for my home and enjoyed the entire selling/buying experience.
An event that happened during the prep part of selling my home, Emma strongly suggested we have a “stager” come to get my home ready to sell. I was not overly enthused because the market was so “hot”. When the stager came, one of the first things she did was begin to take down photos I had on the kitchen soffit of my travels. I warned the stager that the paint might come off. She assured me she would be very careful, just as the first photo came down and the paint peeled. Emma saw the look on my face, ran to the nearest hardware store, and purchased paint to touch-up any areas that were damaged in the process. She didn’t hesitate or suggest I do it myself. We laugh about it today. I do believe I got top dollar for my home because of the recommendations from Emma and her stager.

If you are looking for a real estate agent, look no further than Emma Yanok of RE/MAX Affiliates in Westerville, Ohio.
I cannot say enough great things about how Emma worked tirelessly in the sale of our house in Westerville. Most importantly, Emma is honest, and you can trust her with your house. But let me give some examples of what she can do for you:
• Emma has an association with one of the best staging companies in the area and they will get your house ready to show itself off.
• Emma has contact with a photographer who will take photos of your staged house to again show off its best charms.
• During the sale of our house, after an inspection and receipt of the request for remedy, Emma was able to secure the services of a local handyman who provided quotes and services for repair within 24 hours of receipt of the request for remedy. This handyman was also used by the seller’s agent so there was no further negotiation on the cost of the work to be done.
• In another case, some work was requested to be done on the roof of the house and Emma went right into action. When contacting the roofing company who did previous work on the house, she ran into an old student of hers during her many years teaching in the Westerville School system. When describing what needed to be done at the house, not only did the roofer get a crew to the house the next day, they also did not charge for the service because of the relationship with Emma.
• Emma has close ties with a closing company and bank financing company who will work for her clients in a most professional manner.
• Emma also sold two houses of a former employee of mine who did very well with the sales to the point where one of the residences sold in less than 24 hours. He and his wife speak very highly of Emma, not only as a real estate agent, but as a friend and a teacher.
Overall, in our opinion, you cannot get a better real estate agent than Emma Yanok. You will not find an agent who will work harder for you and communicate everything that is going on with the sale of your house. She is a great find!
